You make life easier for yourself if you raise more pre-flop. e.g., say:
Preflop:
SB raises to $1.50, Hero raises to $8, SB calls $8
Flop ($16)
SB checks, Hero Bets $16, SB calls $16
Turn ($48)
Here you've got $38.25 left with a pot of $48, so you're committed anyway I think, so either shove or call a shove.
Obviously he is much more likely to fold pre-flop if you do this, but by trying to extract value from you Aces you've got yourself into a difficult spot against a tight player.
As it stands, none of your options look attractive on the turn, which indicates something went wrong earlier.
