adam was unquestionably deceiving hiro during samurai-era japan, right? he had to figure hiro was a good guy, yet he didn't let on to his identity. meanwhile he has no problem telling peter he is 400 years old. but if he is supreme evil guy, why didn't he make sure hiro died when he had the chance? peter to hiro has always been the connection that saves the day, but adam seems intent on separating them.

Huh? Adam definitely didn't know he could heal before he met Hiro. (He clearly never cut himself shaving or whatever.) He wasn't a bad guy. He didn't know Hiro was a good guy.

i'm saying if adam is a good guy, then at whatever point he realizes hiro is a super-human like him and can travel in time, why doesn't he reveal his true identity? his read would have to be that hiro is a good, ethical, person, intent on helping the world.

why the [censored] did both of them transport back to the same time and place in history anyway?

the time travel [censored] is so convoluted and stupid that maybe it's not worth analyzing, but as far as getting clues for whether adam is good or evil, it's probably the most useful case study. did adam want hiro to die and gunpowder to proliferate in japan? if so he did a sloppy job of it.

it's kind of hopeless to analyze it.... i mean, which adam was in japan? the all-knowing present day adam, or a static past-adam who had already played the kensei role? was adam in control of his actions in japan while simultaneously chatting with peter in a prison cell, or was kensei-adam really just a figment of hiro's experience in japan? when adam went back to japan, did he disappear from the present world like hiro did? wouldn't the people at the facility notice that?
