Default Re: I can\'t seem to beat the $5 or $6

I raise about top 40-50% of hands on the button

-- I play about 70%, seems like most people play 60%

I cbet if I have any piece of the flop or 6 outs or better

-- bad idea. Are you pot-betting?

I shutdown going for a cheap showdown if I have 2 or 3rd pair unless I improve.

-- sometimes this is effective strategy, you may want to work on inducing bluffs. This will be accomplished by playing more aggressive.

I play tight oop.

--*yawn

IF its limped to me I will raise to 4 or 5 bb with 88+ KJ+( AT+ (these are the hands I reraise with also) I always lead for 1/2 pot in this situation on the flop

-- That is a little too much. I bet that when you lead, you get called often.

I only call raises with small pp early on, any broadway, A7+ K9+ J9+ Q9+ 9T and 8T

-- Take away some of your weaker aces, add suited aces, some suited kings, some suited gappers.

You should post your stats. I would be interested in seeing your AF, PFR, VPIP in SB, VPIP in BB.

There are a ton of concepts you need to nail down, although I think it is weird you can't beat the 5 and 6 while beating the 2.

Describe the kind of opponent that frustrates you the most.
