Isn't every hardrive that isn't for laptops atleast 7200rpm nowadays? If you got the money then go for atleast two drives, one smaller 10k rpm for OS and all programs and one bigger for all your data (pron).

And buying the parts yourself and setting them togheter yourself > all. But then you gotta research a bit what stuff fits togheter but you get the most bang for the bucks if you're willing to spend some time reading forums etc.

Haven't bought a desktop in years so didn't know [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I would suggest any new user DOESNT build their own comp, as the support and warranties provided by Dell et.al is worth it for all recreational computer users.
