You check-raised him on the flop.
You should then bet out on the turn, and call if he raises you. C/C the river in that case, else bet out then, too.
He is a lot more likely to be holding overcards than an overpair. Even if he only PFRs AA, KK and AK, he's still holding AK over 57% of those times, so there's no real reason to put him on an overpair rather than just overcards...
