I dont do this when I have shown so much strength preflop.
Say I just raised in the SB vs his BB. Then I'd look for a sexy.
When 3-betting preflop people tend to check more as they just wanna see a SD. Say he has JT. Then he will think you have QQ and KK a lot and not bet. In my example where you just open raised your range is wider and there is more value in a bet for him.
