well he'd be correct, but i get the feeling that many people who don't know what really happens in the economy literally think that when somebody says "hey the fed is printing money" that they are litereally sitting there with a printing press.
of course the fed is in the end responsible for the whole kit'n'kaboodle in one way or another but the distinction is nonethelessimportant.
