Regarding your example, it totally disregards the aspects of morality and justice. But lets just continue to disregard those elements for fun's sake. Here's my example:
Think of a poker site you hate. They stole hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars from players, and there is nothing to stop them from doing it again.
You have a choice of:
A. Playing on the site that you know cheated players, and has little reason not to do it again
B. Playing on a site that has never been proven to have cheated its players
If you choose A you're a moron.
