Reason why I wanted to know was that I didn't want to let him hit any overcards vs me such as TJ,QK,AK,AJ,AT,9t. By doing this, I sometimes fold better hands such as 99-JJ and protects my hand. So in a sense it's a value shove against his wide 3 betting range. In a sense i'm protecting my hand.
