Default Re: First PLO/8 seesion

Gurravasa 'thou' in your last post should be 'though.' Thou is an old-English spelling of 'you.' Like in Shakespeare's plays "thou doth protest too much."

In HE where you can take KK preflop and bet hard to the river often unimproved when no A hits the board, and the board texture is non-threatening, in O8 this is never the case. With a poor KKxx hand on O8, what you look for on the flop is ideally something like K92 rainbow, because anyone else either needs runner-runner, flopped a lower set, or to be brain-dead to justify putting more in the pot. Yes KK42 suited is much better, but still leads to lots of dead ends after the flop, so in this position most would still not raise that hand.

AA97 even suited is mucked at times in a FR PLO8 game. You can try it out depending on the table, but it's not the best percentage play.

3-4 tables at one time is fairly common at Full Tilt. The more tables, the more mechanical your game gets, and each person has their own comfort zone where they balance reads against the skill level of their technical/mechanical play.
