1. Vince Young
2-11. Bunch of scrubs (in relation to Vince Young)

There aren't many guys who can single-handedly win a NC.

You are right and Vince Young sure as hell isn't one of them.
I’m not an expert on Texas football by any means, but your statement was so outlandish that I felt compelled to do 15 minutes of research to show how stupid it was.
The fact is that the 2005 Longhorns were a well-balanced team chalk full of NFL talent. They had perhaps the greatest secondary of all-time.
Here are some of the other players on that Longhorns team:
Selvin Young- RB, plays for Broncos
Jamal Charles- Stud running back in his senior year at Texas
Limas Sweed- Projected to be one of the first WR taken in the 2008 draft
David Thomas- TE drafted in the third round, plays for the Patriots
Casey Studdard- Guard drafted in the sixth round, plays for the Texans
Justin Blalock- Guard, plays for Falcons
Lyle Sendlein- Center, plays for Cardinals
Brain Robison- DE, Drafted in fourth round, plays for Vikings
Tim Crowder- DE, Drafted in second round, plays for Broncos
Rodrique Wright- All-American, plays for Dolphins
Tarell Brown- CB plays for 49ers
Cedric Griffin- CB, drafted in second round, plays for Vikings
Aaron Ross- Won Thorpe Award as nation’s top DB in 2006, first round pick, plays for Giants
Michael Huff- Won Thorpe Award as nation’s top DB in 2005, seventh overall pick, plays for Raiders
Michael Griffin- DB, 19th overall pick, plays for Titans

I haven't been part of this debate, but it sure seemed like there were times in that NC that he put the team on his shoulders and carried them to the win, including the last drive if I remember correctly. Of course, in football, it's ridiculous to say one man basically won the NC. If there's ever been a team sport, football is it.
