Uhhh how is this not the MLBPA? Look at the contracts of the players.

Take the Indians, how many players are earning, and will earn for a few years, way below market value? Sizemore, Guitierrez, Peralta, Cabrera, Garko, Carmona, Perez, Laffy, Shoppach, Lewis. That's 5/9 position players, 2/5 starting pitchers, 2/6 guys in the pen and 1/5 bench players who are going to be collecting maybe 1/4th of what they could on the market for the next 2-5 years. Then MLB has the luxury of keeping players around as backups in the minor leagues paying them even less. You could play professional baseball for 10 years in a system before hitting Free Agency. The CBA heavily favors the older players.

While that is true, baseball has a minor league system while the NFL and NBA treat colleges as if they were the minor leagues (where the athletes "don't get paid"). Baseball players are compensated at all levels of competition (even if it sucks in the minors), and contracts are guaranteed. As long as you get to free agency, you're doing pretty damn good. Just because Lewis, Sizemore, et. al. are making less than market value now doesn't mean the MLBPA sucks - when these players are granted FA, they will be overpaid anyway.
