I read an article that says the drums are nice but a bit difficult for beginners, though the people who tested it let one of their guys play it and he picked it up very fast.

Also, from the same article at scorehero about vocals:
"To give an idea of the difficulty, Sean told us a story about one of the artists who recorded a song in the game, and could not even get through his own song on Expert."
