Well, you might not have insulted him directly, but you've earlier said that
you think shame is a good motivator for weight-loss, so considering the derisive tone (without being directly insulting) when talking about gobbo, it wouldn't be too far fetched to imagine that you're actually trying to be insulting.
Personally, I think you yourself think you have good intentions, but a sizable part of it is also some kind of funky psychological mechanism to distance yourself from your former fat self. But maybe not, it's kind of hard to make an accurate diagnosis based on a few posts on a message board. Just like maybe you shouldn't assert that gobbomom coddles gobbo (maybe you didn't in this thread, but you certainly have in other threads.)
