Seriously though. I doubt the aliens would even want to use any of the stupid materials we have on earth...except maybe h2o. But Kuroshs logic is right...this aint Contact, its Independence Day...if aliens do come here it would be because they need something and we'd be dead or slaves. They'd be so far beyond us intellectually i dont think they'd even want to study us. We'd just be another stupid alien race in the early stages of our developement.
