Anyone else love watching NFL films recaps on HBO's Inside the NFL? You see things you would never see otherwise.
In the Pats-Colts game:
Brady walking up the sideline yelling, "plenty of football to play!" in the 2nd quarter. Moss walking up the sideline later in the game slapping high-fives and saying, "We got them on the ropes, baby, let's just keep doin' what we do!" And Belichick near the end of the game yelling, "60 minutes of football! That's what we play!" Followed by everyone in the locker room huddled up: "Who's 9-0 going into the bye! Whooomp!"
We abstract these players so much because all we can see is their performance on the field and have no idea what goes in the clubhouse or on the sidelines. These guys are making history and headlines to us, but to them, it's pure football. Love it.
