When I whiff on a turn check-raise I invariably bet the river when a card like yours comes. And it never ends up well. Either my opponents fold thinking I hit the flush - or they raise me with the flush. Sometimes I fold and sometimes I don't. Depends on the type of punishment I think I deserve.

C/C >>> B/F > B/C > C/F > C/R [I would never B/3B here]
Check call picks off bluffs at least.
