Alabama/Auburn definitely has a higher level of hatred across the fan base than any other rivalry. I'm not sure if it's true; but I have been told that Toomer's Corner (a tree Auburn fans roll when they win a game) was rolled when Bear Bryant died. These people don't just want to beat each other.
