I think the UTG may check any draws in this situation. I see this quite allot with some players trying to extract what they think is maximum value by underbetting after they have made trips. I would probably stick in 250 on the turn to find out where I'm at in the hand, and then c/f the river to any big action.
Although I think RexWoo's suggestion is better.
