in an aggro HU match this is sososo much about game flow. if the game is playing fast and loose and villian almost certainly thinks OP is a huge donk, hes prob mtting, so he does this with any 8.

on the other hand alot of players wont bet the turn with an 8 for pot control, or the game could be going slow, or whatever.

situations like this come down to trusting your hand reading, applying it situationally, and knowing how your image works.
