Default KK vs short fish line check

Villain was the type of fish who will limp/call with ~atc preflop, but then goes into fit-or-fold mode postflop.
I didn't bet more on turn cause I didn't want to commit to a push.
By the river I felt that I was crushed against his range so I chose to just check/fold.

Is this OK ?
