Many people believe you can justifiedly hold beliefs with non-evidential support. The opposite (evidentialists) would claim:
You have a justified belief that P iff you believe P on the basis of undefeated evidence for P.
So, in our case there is an important distinction we must understand between unsupported and undefeated evidence.
