What kind of "hurt" are we talking about? (Crush your physical ear, blast-out your eardrum, what?) What kind of headphones are you using? (Outside the ear, buds, what?)

these when Woot was selling them at 2 pairs for $15, and they're stunningly good. Like, good enough that there are whole genres of music that I like now that I didn't like before. (I'm serious.)
