The other day I bought some tickets online to a concert, paid for it with a credit card with my name on it, and was allowed to complete the transaction. I got to the venue, I'm not on the willcall list, so I buy another ticket. Get home, turns out for some reason they didn't have my name on the order form. Contact them, they tell me I can't pick up tickets without a name. They also tell me all sales are final. They sold me something that was impossible for me to receive.

I've complained, but in the end is $25 worth the likely hours of hassle? So yeah, other companies also seem comfortable with blatantly stealing.

That's a pretty bad example. You paid with a credit card and you have an actual document that was mailed to you with your card that lists all remedies available to you, including how to initiate a chargeback or fraudulent transaction claim. Credit card transactions are governed by federal and state laws.
