Okay:

Results = failure.

The plan was this. I am always hanging out with my 2 friends that are girls that are not that attractive because they are engineering majors, so I am never alone with the girl I asked out.

The steelers game was on at 8:30, and the two friends were getting back at 9. We had plans to watch the game at their place, so I decided that I would go early to watch the start of the game, and would conveniently be alone with the girl I wanted to ask out (Girl A).

It worked.

Conversation:
"Hey."
"Hey."
"Go Steelers, yeah."
"Yeah, I don't really like football."
"mmhmm. So, uh, Friday, do you, uh, want to go on a date?"
[she shoots me a look and is smiling nervously]
"Um, I'm not really looking for that right now. It's not personal, though."
"Oh, well, that's good it's not personal or anything."
"Yeah. Thanks for the offer, though."
"Yeah. Go steelers."

It was a pretty awkward conversation. But I did it.

And then it was really awkward because then my 2 friends (Girls B and C) came and it was obvious that as soon as I left girl A would begin the gossip party about how pathetic I was to girls B and C.
