Default Re: 200PS: Flopz the nutz, burnz the turnz

More than the actual hand, I'm interested where you got this read of Jordi:

[ QUOTE ]
He plays a pretty semi-tight passive style, not a nut-pendler though. Basically, he calls a fair amount PF, but rarely gets out of line postflop.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not a nut-peddler? I think he honestly might be the very nittiest 1/2 regular on all of Stars. I've got almost 3,000 hands on him and he has a WTSD of 17.86.

As for the hand, I probably smooth-call the flop and wait for a safe turn. Jordi has at least naked T7 here the vast majority of the time when he leads out and if UTG has a set, you can punish him a lot better by trapping him in the middle on the turn than by just rehitting this on the flop.

As played, you're in a really awkward spot as you're going to be up against JT7x a fair amount (the JT combo I'd be most worried about by far), but I think you could easily be against something like T98x as well. I'd probably make a reluctant call, but I wouldn't feel good about it at all, and I think it's a pretty neutral EV decision either way.
