It's not your option to keep dirty stacks and big chips hidden in a tournament. The dealer should have told you to straighten them up.

A guy in a WSOP satellite went all-in and the dealer just grabbed his cards and mucked them. Nobody noticed until the flop came out. Oh well, gotta protect your cards.
