nice car OP...I have some recommendations for you though...I used to own an Audi, and while it isn't a bimmer, I would be willing to bet that a lot of the same stuff applies. I owned my Audi for about 18months and only lost about $3k to appreciation and whatnot...but I also had to pay about $1.5k in random maintenance...German cars are very expensive to own out of warranty because they have been designed to last until about 50-70k miles.
I now drive an STI and I plan on driving it for a long time. German cars are awesome, but don't let the guy at the garage trick you into every little "preventative maintenance" service they offer. The bills from all the repairs can cost more than anything else!
