Default Re: More levels or more time?

The second- I have 10 more minutes at a lower blind than 200/400, when presumably the average M is low.

The second one is a slower structure. The BB averages 75 for the first hour while in the first one, the BB averages 100 for the first hour.

Both of you guys are correct but what if we just say that you post blinds every 25 minutes, so at :25, :50 and :75 (1:15) In this case it costs you more under scenario 1 than scenario 2, 675 vs. 525. Thats pretty significant. It works out this way under several other examples also, maybe not as extreme though. Scenario 1 starts costing you more in the middle of this range so when you do get to the 200/400 level you actually have less. Scenario 2 costs more at the end, where I believe it will end up costing you slightly more.

Wouldn't you want to preserve your chips / stack / playing ability for as long as possible? If so I would think Scenario 2 would be a better choice?

Edit: After rereading the posts I think we're all in agreement?
