Shoving the flop so you don't have to make a hard decision isn't a good reason to shove. If you think he's enough of a donk to call a huge overbet shove on the flop with a worse hand, then go ahead and shove.

However, I think the pot-sized raise is much better against most players because you'll get calls from more worse hands (TP, TP+FD, FD, etc). This is much better than worrying about the 15% of the time the turn is another flush card. If you don't believe me, do the math yourself to verify.
