VGA to HDMI could get pricey, if you can even find an adapter. I use a DVI to HDMI cable with nice results - 25 bucks well spent. Or you could buy a new vidoe card - the NVidias usually come with a breakout dongle to component included.
To the OP: You'll be disappointed if you go S-video. Text looks pretty godawful at 480i. You might consider hooking a desktop to the TV instead.
