I think the 4/8 Trop game does have more skilled players than the typical 2/4 game, maybe especially if there is no 7.50/15 game going, as it is then the biggest limit game in the house.
However, I still don't think any halfway decent player should be afraid of playing in it, and you may be more likely to win money there than at 2/4 because the rake/tips is a comparatively lower portion of each pot.
