Nobody would have faulted Fox/ESPN for simply keeping the focus on the Sox until the next day. This could have just been a footnote. How could Gammons ignore the whole thing? ESPN didn't break the story, Fox did. If Fox didn't, ESPN would have (without "interrupting the broadcast"), and if not them, someone else, and so on. And Boras, ARod, Gammons, and everyone knows this. So instead of getting asked just about the Sox and Rockies, Gammons is immediately fielding questions about ARod's potential contract and destination. He's got every right to be pissy.
