Default Re: knee problem

I had a small knee problem when I first started working out 5 years ago. It had sort of similar symptoms, i.e. slight pain in the kneecap at the start of an exercise (squash) but no buckling.

I went to a doctor and he identified it as a sprain in a "muscle fastener", i.e. one of the ligaments that connects a muscle in the lower leg to the kneebone.

The solution was to do 5-10 min. warmup on a stationary bike with very low resistance before each session. After about a month it went away.

Just go see a doctor or physical therapist. They really know alot about how your body works and can give you the best advice.
