Here's my essay topic for Crash/Babel paper. Ideas SSNL? FWIW my teacher hates me and I won't do well on this essay no matter how good it is.

1. The titles of both movies serve as plot linchpins as well as metaphors for some of the central notions of both films. Make an argument about how the film gains substance and meaning from both titles—as subject and metaphor. In what particular ways are the discourses in each film—around alienation, connection, power, privilege, race, nation and identity—similar and not?
