Default a recent 2/5 hand

2/5 NL Live.

I raise in EP with KdKc to $25
MP and SB both call.

Flop comes 5s7h5h

SB checks
I bet $85
MP folds.

SB c/r to $200 total.

We both have ~ $700 behind and at this point and I have little read on villian as we have not played many pots together yet.

My concern is what will he do on the turn if I just flat call. I have a hard time believing he flopped a boat otherwise he might flat call and try to trap for more value. I feel that his bet smells more like a draw but I can not allow another card to come off by flat calling.

After tanking for a few minutes, I finally fold, and he tells me he had 3h4h.

If this was true then we were about 60/40. I decided my decision on the flop was either push or fold and that I could not withstand a big turn bet. If I push, I feel he may only fold only if he has a draw and if he calls I don't like it being nearly a coin flip. I simply don't have enough information.

If nothing else, it is pretty hard to push on one pair unless your read is crystal clear. My only goal in a cash game is to make money, so I don't want to take unecesary risks if I can help it.

Is my thinking here correct?

Thoughts?
