No, they don't. They generally underrate the complexity. American football is extremely complicated. Coaching terminology is needlessly complex in some ways but that's about the only factor that makes it seem more rather than less complicated than it really is.

I guess it isn't, why am I putting in all this time watching film, studying tendancies and being a stupid intern coach? I should just go see if I can get a head job at some D1 college.
