why did you get the job in the first place?

[/ QUOTE ]

it seemed like the right thing to do, plus it was back in january and i expected the games to dry up massively.

[ QUOTE ]
don't quit it now. in a weeks time you will no longer be running red hot and will think 'ugh wtf did i do'

[/ QUOTE ]

this is what ill be doing i think, i should try and balance both for a while till i can see how both are going more clearly.

I don't get what the problem is? Don't you believe in yourself? Do you feel you got lucky over the last 80k hands?

[/ QUOTE ]

for sure ive been on the right side of variance the last 80k hands, but i think $350/hr or so is a good estimate over an hourly rate. i just dont know if ill be able to do that in 3-4 years time.

ie plan C - not accountancy, not poker

[/ QUOTE ]

if there was a job out there which paid well and i didnt mind doing, for sure, but there is nothing out there which fits the bill imo.

anyways, thanks for all your replies, it really has helped me. my action plan will be to try and pass the exams i have a week tomorrow and in 3 weeks time, see how poker is going, and see if ive been able to devote time to studying.

i think i shouldnt make a decision yet, and i need to see how both are panning out over the longer term.

ill stop posting now about my job. thanks a lot for your time and thoughts, back to me posting in the [censored] thread about my downswing (im about to have)
