it's not the 4 'best' teams in any poll
people vote for different reasons--who has done the best on the field, who in their opinion is the best, who will be the best at the end
if you look at win/losses on the field, the 4 undefeateds have done better than LSU
my proof
personally, I think LSU is the 'best' team
however, there are no awards for being the best team, only for the best W/L results on the field
