The betting description I posted above is just for place bets, which is after the point has been established. If the table min is $3, you can bet the pass/don't pass any amount equal or over that, because it doesn't matter since your getting paid 1:1 so there aren't any funky possible payout amounts. Your right with the understanding that once a point has been established then you can do place bets on 4-10.

If you have a place bet on 6 and 8 and the point is 9 and it hits, then the pass line pays out but your place bets remain on the table for the next established point automatically. However, you can remove place bets at any time.
