In my opinion, and the way I play, I'm putting him on a strong overpair. Hands like 88 or 99 would usually bet out on this turn, hoping you completely missed with overcards. His pot-size raise it usually demonstrating strength, but trying to prevent a draw-out (with the flush draw, not so much the straight draw unless you've been splashing around previous hands). This guy could also have trips, but he would usually bet the flop because of the flush draw possibility. Against such a wide hand range with a lack of a read, I'm probably folding this hand against the c/r.
