Let me put it to you this way.
Let's say we are at the casino and I say to you, "Will you give me $200 now and I'll go over to the ATM in a minute and withdraw $200 from it and pay you back."
You agree.
I then go to the ATM and the machine (my payment processor) goes down and I can't get the money. Do I not have to repay you the money, just because the ATM machine went down?
I think this is a good analogy. Bodog gave your Uncle money pending them being able to get to your bank account (through their payment processor) to get the funds. For whatever reason (which is irrelevent) they couldn't get the money, so they are asking your uncle for it directly.
Yes, your uncle should pay them. But like the others have said, it's unlikely they will be able to legally pursue the debt. If you are looking for absolution of sin in a public forum or for people to agree that it's okay to stick it to someone, just because of a technicality, then you are in the wrong place.
Just do what you want to do and don't ask for other's opinions and then complain when you get flammed for it.
