Default Re: Why are so many [censored] wsop finishers getting Stars contracts?

lol, Tuan Lam iirc is a big winner at 200/400 limit on stars.

Honestly, Stars PR department is [censored] genius. They signed people that represented all demographics:

1. Raymond Rahme. I know what you're all thinking, why would stars represent this guy. Let's look at demographics, not only is he representing another country (south africa), he's also representing the age demographic. If signing Rahme brings the 50+yo crowd over to Stars, then signing Rahme has done it's job.

2. Tuan Lam. Already an established pro before the WSOP iirc. Stars signed him because he finished second (and yes, David Williams got signed as well for finishing second, just not on stars..) He brings the asian demographic as well.

3. Hevad "Rainkhan" Khan. *shrug* act like a goofball on tv, go deep = money obv. It's not like he wasn't a person that played a ton on stars anyways, so I don't see what they have to lose by signing him.

BTW, there is a big difference between signing a person to exclusive play/represent on their site then being a spokesperson. I guarantee you that neither one of these 3 will be on a pokerstars commercial.
