I have not much to add for your particular situation, but BoDog does have a good reputation for customer service. You may want to ask about the specifics as to why you are not entitled to a refund, beyond "internet issues". If they are denying you it may be for good reason (vs other sites that seem to do so on a whim).
Just keep asking about it. The worst that happens is they tell you no.
