Actually Caesar88 I felt the quote of Russell was weird. It might actually indicate more about why people can't believe in God than why people believe in him. This quote of his is mainly a non-believer's perspective. If I thought I had to fear him I wouldn't believe in him, but I do respect him totally and know, yeah I could burn, but I never focus on that. I focus on doing what's right.

I kind of see this quote as Bertram Russell speaking for believers when he can't. He's not a believer. It'd be like me going to the emergency room with a sick friend and the nurse took my vitals instead of the sick friend's. Quite a different perspective, but then there are all different degrees of faith.
