The U.S. used to have (and they are still legal tender if you can find them), bills in the following denominations: $500, $1,000, $5,000, $10,000, and $100,000. (Although the larger notes were really just used for bank transfers in teh age before checks and electronic transfers). If you don't believe me just look it up on wikipedia.
