I think the general consensus (still a stereotype, but a lot of people agree with this) is that French people are great in general, but the Parisians are a-holes/arrogant.

Actually, if there are any commonly held views towards Europeans in America, they are going to aimed at the UK and France. Generally, there is a very high opinion towards the UK and a very low opinion towards France.
