He's a lag who check called the flop on the drawiest of flops and then said something. My guess is he has a hand he isn't worried about, i.e. the nuts or a draw to something he considers the nuts.
But given the board and the decent multiway pot brewing i doubt if whatever this means should change how you play your hand much.
