grinding is NOT the way to make gold in wow.

i picked up JC on one of my alts after i hit 70 w/ my main. the trick to making money is to buy adamantite ore for as cheap as you can off friends/whoever. i eventually had like 15 people who would COD me ore on a regular basis. the next step is to prospect it, sell the rare gems or cut them and sell them. when i started doing this i made >1000g a day until i personally changed the market by flooding it with rare gems. i continued to make tons of money because at that point i had so many gems i could afford to price gouge the competition. at the time i did this, the going rate for gold on my server, horde side, was 1000g/~$200. sadly the price fell and afaik is continuing to fall.

i considered selling gold for a living and even signed up on a peer2peer gold market site. the problem with actually turning your gold into money is the lack of demand. to actually sell gold on a regular basis you need like 50 toons on 50 servers MINIMUM.
