Chi Squared tests are used to estimate single population variance. F-Test is used to make inferences about two population variances. In the original poll taken from uNL forums, Pokey makes inferences about the mean population opinion about Villains likeliness to call in separate situations. T-tests are used for making inferences about two population means. Inputs are different to derive the test statistic for a T-test concerning two populations instead of one population. this website which turned up in a google search.
